Crew 932 - Blind To The Fact
Graphic Layout, Design and Screen Printing: Keith Whetstone
Format: Vinyl
(2007)
June 16th's live production on "The Information Stage" gets Carl Sagan on that analog ass as 932 founders B-Smooth and Thomas Truth verbally paint words of conspiracy, galactic myth and sheer emcee bravado. "Blind To The Fact" was our obvious pick for the title single as we were moved by the emotive, solid and raw hip hop instrumentation from Chicago area producer and vinyl master mixer DJ Sonryze.
St. Louis, MO's "Jerry Garcia" of rap; Jonathan Toth From Hoth evokes DOOM-esque stylings and alt-poetic devices complete with subtle David Lynch references on "In A Nutshell" produced by Splitface's signature sucker-punch style of orchestration. Innovative graphic maestro Keith Whetstone screen printed a limited number of covers for us as well. We're beat fiends so naturally the instrumentals are on Side B. -N32
